Ubuntu Server must have a different structured ISO then this legacy firmware can handle, perhaps the kernel has a different name for instance. If not, then maybe we can work something out. If you want to help, it's simplest if you are a programmer and know C, because then you could help with development, which would be a godsend (I'm rather short on commits right now in my repository). But it is far from being an any remotely working state. To be honest, printing text to the screen and reading from files are fairly similar to what I am already familiar with and thus more easily understood by myself, so initial configuration with probably get done first. ![]() Right now, I'm looking at tools that do similar things to what my tool does, like shim by Red Hat programmer Matthew Garrett or gummiboot, and my EFI knowledge is coming along slowly. ![]() Regarding my own EFI loader - well, fact of the matter is, the peculiarities of programming for EFI make it not an easy task, coupled with my next-to-zero understanding of the platform, (I'm just beginning to understand some of it by looking through Intel documentation and sample programs) which makes it conceptually hard as well.
